EuNotifier

EuNotifier watches over your Eudora Inbox ("In") and sends a short message to report each new arrival. While you can direct these notifications to any email address, the intended use is to send them to an SMS gateway for delivery to a mobile phone or other portable device.

Some people can get notifications without EuNotifier, simply by creating a Eudora filter that forwards each newly arriving message to their SMS gateway. That works, when it works, because the gateway sends only as much of the message as it can fit into one SMS packet -- that is normally 160 characters. The rest it conveniently throws away. Some gateways are not so considerate and break up the message into as many SMS packets as necessary to send you the whole thing. That's where EuNotifier is needed although even people with good gateways may do well to use EuNotifier, especially those with dial-up Internet connections since it reduces amount of outgoing traffic.

EuNotifier includes its own filtering system so that you receive notifications only for those messages you select. You can filter by Persona, From address and Subject contents.
